Regulation on the use and reimbursement of traveller’s cheques
Regulations on the use and reception of repayment for lost and stolen cheques will be of use for you when acquiring and using them:
1. When acquiring the traveller’s cheque the buyer can sign it in the presence of bank employee and that authenticates the right of cheque holding.
Failure to comply with this term can result in difficulties while repayment for lost and stolen cheques.
2. While exchanging traveller’s cheques for cash in the country of residence their owner can also sign cheques in the presence of employee of the company which negotiate the cheque or in the presence of service or trade organization employee, which accepts cheque for purchased goods and provided services.
Negotiation of cheques is carried out only if both two signs are identical.
3. One should keep contract for cheques purchasing separately of the cheques themselves to get freely and quickly the proper repayment if cheques are lost or stolen.
4. In case if treveller’s cheques are stolen or lost you must urgently (within 24 hours) inform American Express representative by the free phone of repayment service as well as to inform Raiffeisen Bank Aval.
