In 1969 was qualified as processing engineer (Dnerpropetrovsk Chemical Engineering Institute). In 1973 graduated from Kiev Higher School of Ukrainian Ministry of Internal Affairs for speciality "Jurisprudence".
From 1959 till 1993 he has been doing military service in bodies of IA of USSR and Ukraine. He was the head of the Central Directorate on combating the stealing of socialist property of MIA of USSR as well as Central Directorate on combating organized crime of MIA of Ukraine.
From 1994 he has been working in Joint-Stock Post Pension Bank "Aval" as a Chief of Safety Administration and Director of Safety Department. In 1995 he was appointed the Deputy Head of the Board of the JSPPB "Aval" — Director of the Security Department and Legal protection. He is responsible for security service of the Bank.
