Born on 17 September 1957 in Kyiv.
In 1982, graduated from the Kyiv Institute of National Economy, the Finance and Economics Faculty, by the profession "Economist".
His labor activities started in 1982 at the Ukrainian Republican Office of the USSR State Bank in the position of Economist.
Since 1988 has been working in Oshchadbank of Ukraine in the positions from Senior Economist to Deputy Chairman of the Board.
In 1997-2002, occupied the post of Board Chairman of JSC Ukrinbank. In October 2002, became Board member of Raiffeisenbank Ukraine.
Since October 2005 — Chairman of the Board of bank Aval.
