He was born on 29 April, 1960 in the city of Mykolayiv.
In 1984 he graduated from the Mykolayiv Shipbuilding Institute at the specialty "Electric Equipment of Ships", in 2000 — from the South Academy of the State Industrial Policy Committee at the specialty "Finances".
In 1992 V. Horbachov was awarded a degree of a Kandidat of Technical Sciences, in 1993 he was awarded a degree of a Senior Lecturer.
His labor activities started in December 1977 at the Mykolayiv Shipbuilding Plant. Since April 1984, Viktor Horbachov had been working in the Mykolayiv Shipbuilding Institute on the positions from senior laboratory assistant to senior chair’s lecturer.
Since September 1994, V. Horbachov has been working in Raiffeisen Bank Aval, in different time being at the head of the Trade Operations Department, the Operations Division, the Exchange and Settlement Division, the Division of Assets and Liabilities Transactions in the Mykolayiv Oblast Directorate of the Bank.
Since October 2001, he has occupied the post of Director of the Credit Department of Raiffeisen Bank Aval. He is responsible for complex service of corporate clients.
Starting from 1 February, 2005, V. Horbachov has been a member of the Board of Aval Bank.
